Jesus loves unconditionally, gives freely, and brings hope, justice and new beginnings.
We are called to do the same.
We are passionate about reaching out to the community around us, demonstrating and extending God’s Kingdom, and expressing the love of Father in many ways, both spiritually and practically.
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.
No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.
Late Night Outreach is our monthly outreach into the streets of Kingston.
Our purpose is to love the late night occupants of Kingston without agenda. As a gesture of love, we hand out free bacon rolls (to help the munchies) and bottles of water (to help the hangover) and we’re available to talk, pray and listen.
We give without expectation, as a demonstration of Jesus’ love and don’t accept donations or force conversations or flyers on anyone! Should someone want to know more about us and Jesus, or wants to talk, we’re happy to share.
If you’ve never done anything like this before, but would like to come along, you are welcome to shadow someone else and observe how they engage with our community on the streets.
We’ve many opportunities to volunteer that don’t involve going out on the streets: we always need hands to help with cooking and cleaning up, or with praying and interceding for our outreach teams. Please get in touch if you’d like to play a part in these monthly outreaches.
Several people in our community are passionate about eradicating sex-trafficking and helping those saved from this terrible environment.
KingsGate Kingston is a Foodbank collection point. Flyers at the Get Involved Desk table indicate what food you can bring in and leave at the table which will be given to people in need.
